GovDataHosting’s parent company IT-CNP recently announced that it has successfully completed a Service Organization Control (SOC 2) – Type II audit for the period of January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.
The audit was conducted by a New Hampshire-based independent accounting and auditing firm. Their results verify that IT-CNP’s data center, hosting, and managed service solutions, systems, and internal controls meet the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) standards for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
Put simply, the report confirms that IT-CNP can be trusted to safeguard confidential government information.
Obtaining a clean SOC 2 – Type II report is absolutely critical for all outsourced data providers that store and/or process sensitive financial information in the cloud. Government agencies expect their CSPs to maintain strict confidentiality, and the peace of mind that an audit provides is increasingly being sought by those migrating to the cloud.
The same audit report used by such giants as Amazon and Google, SOC 2 – Type II offers a comprehensive system of checks and balances that evaluate policies, procedures, processes, and controls over a period of at least six months to ensure that a cloud service provider has proven its ability to protect sensitive client data.
For more than 15 years, IT-CNP has proven such dependability while providing government agencies and organizations with FISMA-compliant, FedRAMP certified cloud hosting services, data center infrastructure support, and cloud cybersecurity services, in addition to our leading Service Level Agreement and 100% uptime guarantee. We recently were awarded a basic ordering agreement on the Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) program, allowing the company to provide commercial cloud service offerings and IT support for Army systems migrating to the commercial cloud.
